Tajweed

Introduction

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
The Prophet -peace be upon him- said, "The one who was devoted to the the Qur'an will be told on the Day of Resurrection: 'Recite and ascend (in ranks) as you used to recite when you were in the world. Your rank will be at the last Ayah you recite."'

What is Tajweed?

The word "tajweed" means to improve, make better.
Tajweed of the Holy Qur'an is the knowledge and application of the rules of recitation so the reading of the Qur'an is as the Prophet Mohammed peace and blesings be upon him, recited.
This beginners course explains some of the principles of tajweed and focuses on the problems that non-Arabs have in reciting the Qur'an properly.

• Rules of seeking refuge in recitation.
• Rules of saying basmalah in recitation.
• The Mechanism of the formation of letters.
• The articulation points of letters.
• The characteristics of each letter.
• Rules changes in some letters due to the order of letters.
• The Ghunnah & its ranks.
• AL-Noon Al-Sakinah & Tanween Rules.
• Exercising the tongue and a lot of repetition.

This course is for beginners, no perior knowledge is required.
