Introduction

An ijazah (Arabic: الإِجازَة ‎) is a certificate used primarily by Sunni Muslims to indicate that one has been authorized by a higher authority to transmit a certain subject or text of Islamic knowledge. This usually implies that the student has learned this knowledge through face-to-face interactions “at the feet” of the teacher. At our institute the Ijazah is not only limited to different types of Quranic recitations (i.e Qiraat), we have Ijazah programs in Classical Texts such as Al Aajorromiyah, Tuhfa-Tul-Atfaal & Al Jazeriyyah. This program enables students to get one-on-one Tajweed and Hifz coaching from a member of our certified Hifz instructors. There is no age limit on attendance of this program and it is mostly used by older students. The current student base age ranges from 9 years old to 60 years old. The convenience offered with this program is that the students can be taught via Skype or WizIQ, according to their personal choice. The goal of is for students to graduate with full memorization of the whole text weather the Quran or other texts with excellent pronunciation & deep understanding, thus become certified to teach others themselves.

2- Ijazah in Imam Ibn Katheer’s Qiraat, by his two narrations (Qunbul & Bazze).
3- Ijazah in Imam Al Kasayee’s Qiraat, by his two narrations (Abul Harith & Ad-Doore).
4- Ijazah in Imam Ibn Aaamir, by his two narrations (Hishaam & Ibn Dhakwaan).
5- Ijazah in Imam Nafe’s Qiraat, by his two narrations (Qaloon & Warsh).
6- Ijazah in Imam Hamza, by his two narrations (Khalaf & Khalaad).
7- Ijazah in Imam Al Asim’s Qiraat, by his two narrations (Sho’ba & Hafs).
